I am a former teacher, having taught English at the secondary level for more than a decade. I have a BS in Journalism from Lincoln University, with a minor in English. I decided to follow my heart, retire from teaching, and practice Herbalism and Aromatherapy full time. I am an AHG Registered Herbalist and NAHA Level 2 Professional Aromatherapist. I am also the author of two published books on aromatherapy. I founded The Bitter Herb Academy to teach my skills which include essential oil distillation, wildcrafting and foraging, Herbalism, and Aromatherapy. I live on a remote and wild 80-acre property where I practice my craft. I am a wife and a mother of two very active boys!
