Back Story:

I have been practicing herbalism and essential oil distillation for many years.  One of the things I enjoy most about my craft is being able to walk around on my property and identify the many native medicinal and edible plants growing around me.  After years of practice, I can go just about anywhere and find medicine and food to support myself and my family.  I wanted to be able to extend this gift to others, so I decided to create curriculum that focused on teaching wildcrafting and foraging in an easy-to-understand way; I created a well-constructed curriculum that anyone could employ to become more self-sufficient and competent in their ability to identify and use what is around them!  I am very proud to offer this course.  This course will mainly focus on the Midwestern area, as this is what I know and am proficient in.  However, many of the plants and mushrooms discussed can be found throughout North America!

In this course, students will:

-Learn about native medicinal plants, how to identify them, where to find them, and how to use them.

-Learn about native edible plants, how to identify them, where to find them, and how to use them.

– Upon becoming a student, you will be eligible for student membership to the American Herbalists Guild because The Bitter Herb Academy is an AHG approved school! There are many benefits to being a member of AHG! American Herbalists Guild
